We'd love to have you join us for our newly restarted weekly Accessible Wednesday morning program, AW@10! These special events are held from 10:00am – 11:30am each Wednesday where we do fun activities to help local nonprofits. And what’s extra special about these Wednesday events? Our guests of honor are wonderful and fun volunteers with some developmental challenges who want to give back and help others, in groups and as individuals. The accessible activities we'll do on Wednesdays are specifically designed with these guests in mind, so that everyone can participate and have fun volunteering - because we believe very strongly that absolutely everyone has something to give. Volunteer at Project Angel Food
Volunteers help to accomplish Project Angel Food’s mission in a variety of ways. Even one day, or a few hours, of volunteering can make a world of difference to the community's most vulnerable neighbors. Since 1989, Project Angel Food has delivered over 13 million meals to more than 22,000 critically ill people. Their volunteers not only help with preparing meals and delivering them, and also folding and stuffing letters, beading bracelets, and calling clients to see how they’re doing. Volunteers can sign up on their own, with a group of friends, family or co-workers. They can spend one day, or many years, in service to our community. We have some volunteers who started in high school or college and have now been with us for 10, 15 and even 20 years, and are bringing their children with them now. Well Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! Join us for a beautiful and relaxing horseback trail ride Friday July 14, 2023 at Studio Horse Rental (formerly known as Circle K Stables) in Burbank. Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! We invite lots of people of all ages, from all walks of life, for a 2-hour harbor cruise. Guests include individuals, families, corporate groups, faith groups. Plus nice folks from group homes, hospitals, shelters – some of whom have never been on a boat before!
All participants are asked just one thing: to meet at least one new person. Then, we all just enjoy each other’s company. Along the way we'll enjoy coffee, juice, and awesome snacks while watching the sea lions take in some sun.
Sign up below for the cruise leaving from Shoreline Village in Long Beach: Friday July 21st. This cruise leaves promptly at 10 am and returns at 12 pm. Please sure to be there before 10am! We would hate for you to miss the cruise! (And everyone’s welcome!)
