Donate Much-Needed Art Supplies for Kids at Free Arts

Free Arts uses art to restore hope, resiliency, and self-esteem in children in Los Angeles ages 5-18 who have experienced abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness. They serve more than 22,000 children in Los Angeles each year via nearly 200 adult volunteer mentors. Interact with the Seniors at The Salvation Army and Lead Various Actiivities

The Salvation Army's Silvercrest in Lake View Terrace, CA is looking for volunteers leaders who like interacting with seniors and can lead various activities such as arts and crafts or group excercise. And if you don't have a craft or activity, thats ok! Why not come by to lead a game of bingo? Let them know what you want to do and they are open to discussing your ideas! They are also in need of volunteers who can be translators or teach ESL. The most common language is Spanish. Looking for people who are available to come in either Monday or Tuesday for 1-2 hours sometime between 9am-4pm. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Lead Group Exercise Clases at The Salvation Army Weingart Center in Hollywood

The Salvation Army Weingart Center in Hollywood, CA is looking for volunteers to lead group exercise classes (yoga, zumba, aerobics, etc). Available class times are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays 10am-1pm for Seniors Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 5pm-7pm for Adults If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity please contact Amanda Soto ( with experience and availability. The Salvation Army Weingart Youth Center has become a safe haven for boys and girls, many of whom come from single-parent households, and live in low-income areas which make them vulnerable to juvenile crime. The Center provides for their physical and educational needs through a number of enrichment activities, including after school youth programs, computer instruction, sports, arts & crafts and homework assistance. Adults and seniors are also served on a limited basis with low-impact aerobics and work-related computer instruction.

Assist Kidsave at their 20th Anniversary Miracles Gala

Kidsave is looking for awesome on-site volunteers to help with a variety of day-of tasks. This will be for their 20th Anniversary Miracles Gala at Avalon Hollywood + Bardot. They will be having a dinner, live and silent auction, and dancing. Volunteer opportunities available are: -Event Set-Up (arrival 2:00PM) -- help with setting up the tables, floral decorations, and auction item displays. This shift would be for 3-4 hours. -Event Registration (arrival 4:30PM) -- help with checking in guests using on-line mobile bidding software (BidPal) and making sure guests are greeted with a smile and bid paddle ;) -Greeters and Table Seaters (arrival 5:00PM) -- help with flow by making sure guests know where they are seated and are able to properly find their seat; be a smiling face as they arrive -Auction Check-Out (arrival 7:00PM) -- help get auction items set-up for check-out in Bardot; help with getting all items to guests (this will be a part for those who are interested in staying for dancing!!) Assist in a Paint Party for Seniors for Volunteer Action for Aging

Volunteers are needed to assist in a paint party for seniors! Volunteer Action for Aging brings activities to seniors to keep them socially engaged. If you like chatting with seniors and creative projects please join us. As a volunteer you will help make simple "mocktails" for participants and support them with encouragement and tips as they paint. Art experience is not necessary - just the ability to listen to the instructions given and relay that information to seniors if they require extra assistance. Donate Your Time and/or Money for AHEAD With Horses’s Annual Children’s Demonstation and Fun Day

Every June, AHEAD With Horses Inc. holds their Annual Children’s Demonstration and Fun Day. This is a day when all of the children in their program can showcase all of the wonders they have accomplished while riding a horse and have their friends and family cheer them on as they receive their Outstanding Achievement Awards. All money raised will go towards their program and providing developmental therapeutic riding sessions to disabled children. They are looking for donations for their Silent Auction that will be going on at the event. They can also use donations of bottled water, soda cans, napkins, individual bags of chips, etc. for their BBQ lunch. All donations, in kind and direct donations of money, are greatly appreciated. They will need lots of volunteers to help with set up, clean up, running the game booths and arts & crafts, helping with the silent auction, helping with the bbq, parking, and many other activities. You can volunteer the whole day or just for a couple of hours. Volunteers who sign up do get a lunch!

Join PATH- Santa Barbara as They Host Their Second Annual Making It Home Tour

PATH will host their second annual Making It Home Tour – a celebration of home and the spirt of the Santa Barbara community. You are invited to join them for this exclusive look into some of the most elegant homes and estates in Santa Barbara, all in support of ending homelessness. This unique event will feature a guided tour through luxury area homes aboard a historic Santa Barbara trolley, including food and wine pairings from exclusive chefs and local restaurants at each stop. The celebration will continue with a reception where guests will enjoy music, raffles, and a wide variety of exciting food and drink.

Help Faciliate and Prep Activities for the Kids at Alexandria House’s Summer Camp

The Alexandria House Summer Camp is held every summer (June to August) at Alexandria House for 30 school-aged kids (K-5th grade). The kids go on field trips and participate in arts, sports, and water activities. Volunteers are needed to help facilitate and prep activities and are also welcome to lead their own programs. If you have ideas for camp, please send them to their camp coordinator at All new Alexandria House volunteers are asked to go through an orientation before volunteering. Volunteers age: at least of high school age. There’s no time commitment, you can volunteer for one day or for the whole summer. The volunteer shifts are 9am-noon and 1-4pm. Join the World’s Largest Street Painting Festival in Collaboration with Light Bringer Project

Join the world’s largest street painting festival with over 600 artists! Free and open to the public this Father’s Day weekend marks the 26th Annual Pasadena Chalk Festival at The Paseo. Over 600 skilled chalk artists from all over the world will come together to celebrate the unique art form. The festival offers visitors an opportunity to experience art on Paseo Colorado’s famous plaza for free. The Pasadena Chalk Festival places over 25,000 sticks of pastel chalks in the hands of hundreds of Madonnari (Italian for street painter) to spend the weekend creating spectacular murals on concrete canvases throughout the shopping plaza that stretches over three city blocks. Many artistic styles are represented in the Pasadena Chalk Festival: classical, contemporary, whimsical, socially relevant. Teams and Individual artists represent schools, creative companies, cultural organizations and artistic families.

Help Donate Much Needed Essentials for The Academy Projects Summer Camp

Camp Xavier is a week long day camp for 40 3rd-8th grade foster youth on the campus of USC from 9am-5am. 20 of the older youth will then attend a week up in the San Bernardino Mountains enjoying the quinessential summer camp experience- swimming, hiking, sailing, arts and crafts, campfires and much more. They need to feed 40 foster youth breakfast, lunch and a snack for 5 days (and would love to send them home with something too). They also need art supplies and general supplies (first aid kits, plates, napkins, water, paper, pens) They would love to have t-shirts made or rubber wrist bands- somthing to identify their kids (there are many camps of the campus of USC at the dame time. They will be taking their kids to the museam because they dont have their space on Tuesday and would love to get them IMAX tickets (40 of them). Books of all reading levels. Also, please consider sponsoring a 7 day camp experience for an older youth. It costs only $300 (all costs including bus trips, foods, activites, life changing experiences and life long friends.

Join L.A. Kitchen Transform Reclaimed Fruits and Vegetables into Healthy Meals

L.A. kitchen invites young children and their families to give back and have fun! Kids and adults can volunteer to transform reclaimed fruits and vegetables into healthy meals that are distributed to homeless shelters, after-school programs and senior sites. All kitchen activities are kid and adult proof. Each volunteer or family is asked to make a small donation, that allows the organization to offer activities like Tater Tats (fruit & veggie-themed temporary tattoos), arts and crafts using “ugly” veggies, and more!
