Interfaith Food Center (IFC), a Food Bank community partner, is seeking volunteers to assist with packing bags of food, distributing food, and loading food into vehicles as they drive by. IFC is a non-faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization dedicated to meeting the needs of our hungry and homeless neighbors in Whittier, La Mirada and Santa Fe Springs. Our guests of honor are wonderful and fun volunteers with some developmental challenges who want to give back and help others, in groups and as individuals. The accessible activities we'll do on Wednesdays are specifically designed with these guests in mind, so that everyone can participate and have fun volunteering - because we believe very strongly that absolutely everyone has something to give. Distribute Food with LA Food Bank
The Food Bank provides food to families and individuals through their Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) program, which distributes food off of our trucks at various locations throughout LA County. MFP distributions have transitioned to a “Drive-Through” format (and walk-up where feasible) to reduce personal interaction per Public Health guidelines. We'll be feeding approximately 1,000 families at this event. Our Saviour Center is a food pantry in El Monte California serving the community since 1985. They currently serve around 240- 500 clients each day they are open.Volunteer Duties: Duties vary based on need, but typically include bagging and packing food, signing-in clients, distributing food and post-event clean up. Well Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! Join us for a beautiful and relaxing horseback trail ride Friday July 14, 2023 at Studio Horse Rental (formerly known as Circle K Stables) in Burbank. Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! We invite lots of people of all ages, from all walks of life, for a 2-hour harbor cruise. Guests include individuals, families, corporate groups, faith groups. Plus nice folks from group homes, hospitals, shelters – some of whom have never been on a boat before!
All participants are asked just one thing: to meet at least one new person. Then, we all just enjoy each other’s company. Along the way we'll enjoy coffee, juice, and awesome snacks while watching the sea lions take in some sun.
Sign up below for the cruise leaving from Shoreline Village in Long Beach: Friday July 21st. This cruise leaves promptly at 10 am and returns at 12 pm. Please sure to be there before 10am! We would hate for you to miss the cruise! (And everyone’s welcome!)

Join us Friday, July 28th for our first ever DONUT CRAWL! We'll cruise around the city tasting donuts from some popular donut shops around LA.
