Help out at the St. Francis Center’s Back-to-School Fair!

The St. Francis Center's Back-to-School Fair will take place on Saturday, August 5th, from 12 - 2:30 pm. Last year with your support, they distributed school supplies to 300 youth from their extremely low-income pantry program families! These families also enjoyed a street fair with carnival-style games, activities, food, and entertainment. Volunteers must be over age 7 and accompanied by an adult. Volunteers assist with distributing school supplies, manning carnival game booths, registering guests, and handing out swag or goodies to the community. Please wear closed-toed shoes. The event will be outside so make sure to bring sun gear and water bottle.

The St. Francis center is also looking for and accepting donations for this opportunity! Your sponsorship allows St. Francis Center to purchase school supplies, backpacks, shoes, and other essentials to set youth up for a productive and successful school year. On average, families enrolled in their pantry program make $17,000 a year, so this event helps alleviate the financial burden of the new school year.

They are also accepting in-kind donations of backpack, school supplies, and other essentials. Please email them at donations@sfcla.org to schedule a drop-off.
