Assist the L.A. First Church of the Nazarene’s Food Pantry with Bread Pick Up

The Helping Hands Food Pantry is in need for one or two volunteers to pick up bread from a nearby Vons. Volunteers would go to the church to pick up boxes for the bread and keys to open up the pantry. Using their own cars, volunteers would then drive to a local Vons (loading dock) and would receive the bread, load it onto their cars. When they arrive at the church, they can use carts to wheel in the bread to put inside the pantry's freezer for safe keeping. Volunteers would then lock up, put the pantry keys away and then continue about their day. The bread that volunteers will pick up will help to feed families in Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre throughout that week. Requirements & Commitment: Driver's License Needed. Must be at least 18. Orientation or Training 1hr and 30min. Drivers must also have proof of insurance and will fill out a volunteer application and waivers.
