Join Big Sunday for our Accessible Wednesday at 10am Event
We'd love to have you join us for our newly restarted weekly Accessible Wednesday morning program, AW@10! These special events are held from 10:00am – 11:30am each Wednesday where we do fun activities to help local nonprofits. And what’s extra special about these Wednesday events? Our guests of honor are wonderful and fun volunteers with some developmental challenges who want to give back and help others, in groups and as individuals. The accessible activities we'll do on Wednesdays are specifically designed with these guests in mind, so that everyone can participate and have fun volunteering - because we believe very strongly that absolutely everyone has something to give. Project Ropa is a nonprofit organization restoring dignity and empowering the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles by providing clean clothes, hygiene essentials, and employment opportunities while reducing textile waste and minimizing our carbon footprint. Create Hygiene Kits for Project Ropa
Help create hygiene kits for Project Ropa to directly distribute to people experiencing homelessness in the Los Angeles area. This is a great activity for children to get involved with. They are looking for assistance creating hygiene kits to distribute to our unhoused neighbors. This can be done remotely by putting together items in a ziploc bag, tote bag or reusable grocery bag. Please note: Items for the hygiene kits will not be provided by them. They recommend reaching out to your network of friends and family to source the items. All items can be travel-size or full-size. Items to include in the kits are: Essentials - Shampoo, Toothpaste and toothbrush, Soap, Body lotion, Shaving cream, Razor. Nice to Have - Deodorant, Q-Tips, Band-Aids, Hand sanitizer, Disinfecting wipes, Travel-size facial tissue pack, Toilet pape, Lip balm, Sunscreen, Dental floss, Hair bands, Conditioner. *Field Trip Friday* Join Big Sunday for a Harbor Cruise !
Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! We invite lots of people of all ages, from all walks of life, for a 2-hour harbor cruise. Guests include individuals, families, corporate groups, faith groups. Plus nice folks from group homes, hospitals, shelters – some of whom have never been on a boat before!
All participants are asked just one thing: to meet at least one new person. Then, we all just enjoy each other’s company. Along the way we'll enjoy coffee, juice, and awesome snacks while watching the sea lions take in some sun.
Sign up below for the cruise leaving from Shoreline Village in Long Beach: Friday July 21st. This cruise leaves promptly at 10 am and returns at 12 pm. Please sure to be there before 10am! We would hate for you to miss the cruise! (And everyone’s welcome!)

Well Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! Join us for a beautiful and relaxing horseback trail ride Friday July 14, 2023 at Studio Horse Rental (formerly known as Circle K Stables) in Burbank.
