On Sunday, June 11, 2023, AbilityFirst is hosting its Annual Food & Wine Festival at the historic Laurabelle A. Robinson house in Pasadena, CA. This spectacular event includes gourmet food and beverage tastings, awards recognition and silent and live auctions featuring exclusive items. Volunteers Wanted for Q CON – LGBTQ Comic Con – Saturday, June 17
Q CON is a fun, festive community event celebrating LGBTQ+ comics and geek culture. Volunteers will help with attendee check-in, monitoring areas of the con and more. They also need volunteers with arts and computer graphics skills before the con to help prepare graphics and con materials. Volunteer shifts will average 3 hours. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Volunteers working midday will get lunch.Attire is casual, fun clothes and cosplay is encouraged! The event is supported by the City of West Hollywood Arts Division as part of the WeHo Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival and is family-friendly. Assist Event Staff for Community Arts Festival!
Volunteers will help with ushering the audience, front of the house, merch table, and event set up & breakdown. They are looking for volunteers that are physically able to stand and walk around for 4-5 hours. Volunteers that can lift heavy equipment is a plus. Volunteers must be comfortable interacting with audience members.
Volunteers Wanted for Gay Men’s Chorus Gala – June 25
Volunteers wanted for event set up; check in; greeting; silent auction set up, silent auction monitoring and silent auction check out; event strike. Some volunteers will also be needed for auction set up on Saturday afternoon, June 24. All volunteers will get a ticket to attend the Saturday, June 24 evening performance of Disney Pride in Concert. Well Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! Join us for a beautiful and relaxing horseback trail ride Friday July 14, 2023 at Studio Horse Rental (formerly known as Circle K Stables) in Burbank. Big Sunday's annual Field Trip Friday's are back and ready to hit you with a summer of fun! We invite lots of people of all ages, from all walks of life, for a 2-hour harbor cruise. Guests include individuals, families, corporate groups, faith groups. Plus nice folks from group homes, hospitals, shelters – some of whom have never been on a boat before!
All participants are asked just one thing: to meet at least one new person. Then, we all just enjoy each other’s company. Along the way we'll enjoy coffee, juice, and awesome snacks while watching the sea lions take in some sun.
Sign up below for the cruise leaving from Shoreline Village in Long Beach: Friday July 21st. This cruise leaves promptly at 10 am and returns at 12 pm. Please sure to be there before 10am! We would hate for you to miss the cruise! (And everyone’s welcome!)

Join us Friday, July 28th for our first ever DONUT CRAWL! We'll cruise around the city tasting donuts from some popular donut shops around LA. We'll play games, listen to some tunes, and rate our favorite donuts from each stop. This'll be an event you don't want to miss!
