Specialized volunteers assist center staff in teaching children and teenagers how to safely handle basic hand tools, mitre saws, drills, and clamps. Tinker lab assistants monitor the safety perimeter, demonstrate proper tool posture, and guide youth as they construct physical wood and plastic prototypes from scratch. Must be 18 years or older with demonstrated comfort or background using basic hand and power tools.
