Help Pack Delicious Meals for the Disabled and Homebound Clients of Khalsa Care Foundation

Help pack delicious meals for the disabled and homebound, in partnership with the L.A. City Department of Disability and Khalsa Care Foundation. Before the pandemic, they served 1,000 meals per day. Now, demand has tripled! They greatly need your help. Los Angeles Mayor's Office, Department of Disability and Khalsa Care Foundation have partnered up to provide 3,000 meals daily to individuals with disabilities. There is a urgent need to support those that are most vulnerable during these times. Important Details: While volunteering at the temple, all volunteers must: cover their heads with a scarf or hat and remove their shoes in the kitchen. Volunteers aged 16-17 must bring a completed Minor Waiver Form (found on LA Works website) signed by a legal guardian. Minor volunteers who do not have completed forms will be unable to participate. Make a Difference in The Laurel Foundation’s Virtual Summer Camp

Camp LaurelÕs Summer Camp is a seven-day camp program for children and youth ages 6-17 affected by HIV/AIDS. Summer Camp focuses on building the bonds that help to create a solid foundation on which the children can grow. The programming, while catering to the fragile physical and mental health of the children and youth, works to increase each participantÕs self-esteem while empowering them to develop the important life skills needed to build independent, successful and healthy lives. This year the summer camp is going to be virtual and going to look very different than it has in previous years. They need your help to make this camp experience just as memorable!
