Help Deliver Meals for Meals on Wheels West

Volunteers are needed to deliver a hot lunch, light dinner, newspaper, and a Wellness Check Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to homebound people in Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu. Volunteers are often the only people clients of this organization see on a daily or even weekly basis. Volunteers will start at the Meals on Wheels WestÕs Santa Monica location to pick up the meals and will receive one route, which consists of about 10 clients. Once the meals are picked up at the Santa Monica location, volunteers drive their cars to the houses of each client on their route. Routes are designed to optimize travel time. If you have a limited amount of time, then the Volunteer Coordinator can assign you or your team to a smaller route. Please reach out to our Meal Delivery Volunteer Coordinator, Jen, at jen@mealsonwheelswest.org or (310)394-5133x2 to schedule your delivery. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended!

Pose for a Purpose with AHEAD With Horses Inc

AHEAD With Horses is devoted to improving the quality of life of disabled, disadvantaged, and special needs children through equine therapy using vaulting also known as gymnastics on a horse. Whether itÕs seeing a smile from an otherwise Ònon-responsiveÓ child, or watching someone taking their first steps, the hundreds of children they serve each year regularly hit major physical, mental, and emotional milestonesÑgifts that last a lifetime. They are asking people to participate in their #PoseForAPurpose Campaign.
