PATH provides meals to their residents in interim housing. When groups sign up to provide meals, it helps PATH focus its resources on providing housing and support services for their residents. Their male veterans in West LA love to have home-cooked meals from volunteers. Shifts are currently available at their West LA site. The Food Bank provides food to families and individuals through their Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) program, which distributes food off of our trucks at various locations throughout LA County. MFP distributions have transitioned to a “Drive-Through” format (and walk-up where feasible) to reduce personal interaction per Public Health guidelines. Distribute Food in Watts with LA Food Bank

The Food Bank provides food to families and individuals through their Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) program, which distributes food off of our trucks at various locations throughout LA County. Pack Kits with Lucky Duck Foundation

The Lucky Duck Food and Water Initiative has distributed over 1.4 million meals to San Diego’s unsheltered neighbors since May 2020. Volunteers help pack, sort, and load food and water for homeless outreach teams to distribute throughout San Diego County. Volunteers also sort and distribute items like face shields, masks, hygiene kits, EMPWR Coats, and clothing. Volunteers are critical to making the program happen, so please consider signing up! Volunteer bagging shifts take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00-3:00pm at the San Diego Rescue Mission Warehouse (212 East 26th Street, National City, CA 91950). Note: though it is most helpful if you can volunteer for 3 hours, you do not need to sign up for all 3 hours, you can volunteer in 1-hour increments. We’ve Got Your Back – Fresh Produce Distribution

This is a great volunteer opportunity that occurs every Friday for individuals and groups wanting to be hands-on with helping the community and team collaboration. Each week, their We've Got Your Back families are able to receive fresh food and essential items to support their families through our drive-thru distribution. You will help to facilitate a food distribution event for approximately 200 to 250 families. This includes preparing stations and helping to distribute 50 to 80 pounds of fresh food into the cars of families in the We've Got Your Back program. Their staff will provide instructions before the event begins on what will be giving out to their families that attend, as well as the amount per station. Staff will always be there to help and answer any questions/concerns you may have. Please be sure to sign up at least 48 hours before a scheduled shift!
